Dolan Joins CAD as Vice President and General Manager

Chesapeake and Delaware LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Dolan to the position of Vice-President & General Manager of railroads, effective immediately.

Concurrently, Chesapeake and Delaware is pleased to announce the advancement of Cathrin Banks to the position of Executive Vice-President. Ms. Banks is a partner of the firm and previously filled the role of Vice-President & General Counsel. She is also the President of affiliate Maryland and Delaware Railroad (MDDE).

"I am glad to have Sean on board and happy to have Cathrin taking an expanded leadership role as we build a team for the future which will allow the railroad to take on ever expanding growth opportunities," President Kean Burenga said.

Mr. Dolan joins Chesapeake and Delaware after retiring from a distinguished 32-year career at New Jersey Transit, where he held numerous transportation roles and was most recently Deputy General Manger, responsible for all train operations on both the Newark and Hoboken Divisions.

Chesapeake and Delaware operates 208 route miles of railroad in New Jersey, serving short line freight customers in Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, and Warren Counties, including wholly owned Delaware & Raritan River (DRR), Dover & Delaware River (DD), Dover & Rockaway River (DRRV) Railroads, and affiliates Belvidere & Delaware River Railway (BDRV) and Black River & Western Railroad (BRW). Chesapeake and Delaware LLC was formed in 2017.
